VUSI Media is a multi-platform storytelling company founded by Gilda Brasch. Incited to action after meeting Nelson Mandela with Oprah Winfrey in South Africa and filming in his prison cell of 27 years, Gilda set up VUSI to focus on filmmaking designed for sociocultural change.

“Vusi” is a Zulu word meaning “to awaken” or “the dawn.  VUSI reflects the values of its namesake through our guiding philosophy – to create television, film, and impact content that will entertain and resonate on global, cultural, and technological levels.
